Yo Andy! Weather is getting nicer. I'll bring the crawdads if you got a big boil pot. You up for some lip burnin and beer drinkin?

Where are you going to get crawfish in GA?

You can get them on the net, but it comes to like 30 bucks a person. A guy will eat 5 lbs of crawfish.

John, you'd actually pass on the crawfish? You'd love em. Spicy and great. And I can show you how to eat 10 or more in a minute too. I can't imagine after one, you'd pass up the rest and eat just the corn.

But, the potatoes are good too.

All true.

I grew up ... sometime right after the Stone Age ... in old, rural California (near the San Joaquin river). Plenty of crawfish there (we called them crawdaddies).

We had our own versions of crawfish boils, complete with corn and potatoes. I can't recall anyone ever turning down a crawfish -- they are that good.:D

I'll try to find some somewhere and figure out how much it'll cost.

When I think "crawfish," I think Louisiana.

Perhaps the poster named Gravelface can help out here? He's living there and might have some good advice.

So yeah, those ole' mudbugs gonna be expensive!I've found a couple good places to get 'em from. I'll have to scrape together about $160. When I get some money, we're gonna do this! I have been having a wicked craving for crawfish for almost a year now.

Be cheaper to drive to Louisianna. Though. We probably wouldn't remember the crawfish boil...

How many pounds are you getting? You can easily get them for $3-5 a lb around here.

Andy, I grew up in Mobile, AL, about an hour away from LA. My father and at least one older brother would catch crawfish sometimes in a local swamp and sell them. They flavor corn nicely- I'll take about 7 half-ears, thank you- but I have no ambition to eat them.

Hey guys, I need help with some recipes. I haven't cooked crawdads and I want to be able to do all of it out away from a stove. So via campfire, how could I go about preparing these little guys? They have crawdads in GA!

You guys are making me hungry. I haven't had Crawfish since I went to Texas a couple years ago. It sounds like fun to have a boil in backyard.

Boil em or broil em. Best to have seasoning on hand. Tumble em in a pan with some vegies. They cook like shrimp. You can substitute them just like shrimp in any recipe.

Joe, I think you need to bring 'em to Andy's house and we'll show you how to do them up over a fire. ;)

Had some last night. And they were great. Was samefull how many I ate. We had 35 pounds sent to us.

Yea. It take 5lbs min per adult male. Sounds like fun!
