I would like to enlist your help to be eyes out in the market place for one of our Special Forces soldiers who has had his Yarborough knife stolen. His home, which I believe is in Illinois, was broken into and a variety of items were stolen, among which was the Yarborough that was presented to him when he graduated from Special Forces Qualification course. The possibility exists that the knife will emerge somewhere for sale.

The knife is marked YARBOROUGH 1626 and the CR Harsey logo is only on the back. In every other respect it looks just like a Green Beret Knife.

As you folks tour around the different knife discussion forums, sales websites, eBay and knife shows, wherever else, please keep a lookout. If you see the knife anywhere, please note who is offering it for sale, let us know or advise your local police.

Thanks very much!

Will do and thanks for the heads up!! I hope they catch the dirtbag(s) who broke into the soldier's home.

I hate hearing things like this. It makes me very, very angry that someone would do this. A prized possesion gone just like that. I will keep my eyes and ears open. I hope they find they scumbag and let the SF soldier beat the crap outta him. If this knife is not found what are the chances of having a duplicate knife made for him?

I don't know the answer to the question about a duplicate knife. The issue of these Yarboroughs is strictly controlled and there is so much protocol involved ..... and I guess this is a first so they may have to invent the process. There is no way that we can do it without the go-ahead from Special Operations Command, no matter how much we'd like to help him.

Thanks for your concern!

It really sucks that this kind of thing would happen to one of America's heros, but I'm really impressed with the way CRK keeps up with their products and supports the troops. Way to go. I was just on ebay, and there are currently two for sale, but both sellers appear to be more knowledgeable than I'd expect your average thief to be. However, maybe someone who knows more about this should take a look at the auctions. One is in Jackson, Michigan, not too far away. (Just type in Green Beret Knife)
