I always tell my customers “wait until you’ve seen it in person before you write it off.”

My pickiest customer (who drives me crazy) hated the Reate GTR because of all the holes in the handle. Eventually I took one out to show him and he wanted it instantly.

Unfortunately it’s not always possible to see a knife in hand before you buy it though.

I’ve been a WE And Reate dealer (among others) for ten years now. If a knife is not so great I won’t recommend it.

We all have our own preferences. Someone else might think it’s the greatest thing ever. My preference is for a solid blade. You can’t please everyone, all the time. That’s why there are so many different models right?

I like blades with fullers or milling that don’t run completely through. Good examples of that are the Curtiss F3, or Arno Barnard iMamba. Where you might have a nicely polished blade, but the milled out part is a different finish. Looks nice.

I can’t stand spidey holes. Especially those long extended ones you fly a 747 through. But that’s just me. Others might love them. That’s variety and that’s a good thing.
