WE Shakan is Excellent

Hey. I just got this yesterday. I had it apart for inspection, thorough clean, and quality lubrication. The stock action and lock-up were good but I did end up installing the 5mm, 1/16", 11-ball Skiff bearings. The anodization on this one is fantastic. Inside and out, it's gorgeous and looks different in different lighting.

A big thing here is the ergonomics. For this size of knife and for the amount of milling, it's remarkably comfortable in hand. There are no sharp or pointy bits on the scales. Everything is wonderfully rounded. The spine and jimping are nicely angled. The only crisp edges are on the clip but none of them create hot spots. It actually provides a helpful shelf during opening and manipulation.

LOL, I had my black/blue one pulled apart and Skiff installed too yesterday. And yes, cool knives! Price is quite high for the size, but since when did that stop us.

I have the Kitefin (love it) and am wondering how the Shakan compares.

I now how have two Shakans and am thrilled with both of them. I think they are real standouts for their class.

I like mine, but again, I think they’re a $180 knife, not a $215 knife.
