We're supposed to get 4-7" tonight - just after things have gotten cleaned up !

Well in the suburb I am in they're saying we had 17" total from last night, and its still coming down right now. There was high winds as well which caused some drifting snow. :D This pic is from the local paper.

The only time I ever went on a skiing trip was my first year of Boy Scouts. We went to Mankato and got 19" of snow. I saw the exact same thing out of our hotel door. Snow 3/4 the way up the door. 5-6 rooms on the same side of the hotel were completely snowed in. Kids were sledding off the 2nd floor balcony! Never did get to go skiing because of the snow.

Luckily, this storm is gonna miss us down here in Des Moines.

we're officially at over 150 inches of snow here in Suck-ricuse (measured at Hancock airport less than a mile from my house), according to NBC national news.
North of here in Fulton they are getting even more snow. If you haven't gotten at least 120 inches, I don't want to hear it
