Yangdu and I are booked to fly back to Girard, Kansas for Thanksgiving. We will fly to Tulsa on the 21st, rent a car and drive on up the Girard. We will come back on the 28th and will stop in OK to see Terry, Yvsa and anybody else who might drive up to visit.

My Dad will turn 89 in Feb. and I want to try to see him as much as I can before he or I check out of this life. Brother Fred also had a very recent heart "incident" and had to have a couple of stints placed in his heart arteries. Runs in the family! Last time home he said, "Brother, you are the only brother I've got and I'd sure like to spend a little more time with you before one of us croaks." He's right.

So, Uncle Bill's Cantina will be dark for a week but with any luck we'll be back, up and running as usual after Thanksgiving.

Stay tuned.

Good for you, Uncle Bill. I'm glad that you're going to take some time off -- it's well deserved and well needed, I'm sure. I know you'll have a wonderful time! But it goes without saying, you'll be missed.

I think Bill means HE won't be posting that week, but the HI forum will stay open for posting threads and messages between nephews and lurkers, etc., the way it did when Bill went to Nepal and when he had the heart attack. Correct me if I'm wrong Uncle.

I know that you won't be able to stay as long as you would like Bro, but any chance to get to see you again is wonderful and will definitely be taken advantage of.
Barb is excited now that she will be able to come along as well.
The close out of her job is a real blessing for us although we are terribley sorry for those who lost their job's because of the dept's closing and especially at this time of the year.
This company never has had the reputation of doing what's right for their people, only what benefited the company itself.
There is more than enough orders and work to complete to more than last out the year.
Sadly I feel that this is true for many other businesses in todays world.

It's always nice to see family and to pay your respects to the elders. Take care during your travels.

Uncle Bill,
You will be truly missed while you are away. I hope that you get to really relax and unwind while you are on your vacation. It is sometimes needed to get away just to let the body and mind relax and the soul recharge. Hope you get to do all you wish ! Take Care.

I'll be away as well, with some of my family at Camp Chesterfield in Indiana.

Bob

Uncle, have a good week at your father's place, and my best regards to Grand Uncle!

The Cantina will get dark, but we'll go on.
Take your light from the Cantina to bring it wherever you go... in case needed.
