has anyone tried bending the lockbar to get more pressure on the ball and stiffer lock up? I'm afraid of snapping mine:D and I'm not sending my knife back for a tweek.

Is it an older military? For example does it have "MILITARY" marked on the blade? I know that those have smaller detents. The detent ball may be flat due to repeated opening. Also, I would definitely recommend not bending the liner, I really REALLY doubt you can snap it, but you can surely affect the lock up negatively.

no it's last years production or just before they changed the clip screws to torx.
thanks for the opinion, I would only put a slight tweek on it if anything...I just got an orange mili and the detent is awesome.

I agree about the orange mili, what an awesome knife with incredible fit and finish. I paid a little premium for mine, but it was well worth it. Good luck with your detent issue.

turns out the hole was not drilled in the correct spot for the detent ball to fall in all the way, used a dremel and all is good

....funny i thought it was just a "normal for an older production" type of deal until I got a second mili to compare to. an easy fix, The mili is my favorite folder by far, funny because I didn't like it much at first now I'm always obsessing about it :D
