Hey guys, I got a Buck Trapper 382T, and the clip blade has a weak snap when I open it. It closes great, snaps shut strong, but it opens weak as anything. Good talk, but no walk. What's up with that?

have you tried oiling it? sometimes I find Buck knives come with black powdery residue in them that slows down the walk/talk until I clean it out.

Scrub the ends of the springs and the back of the blades, where they pivot, with an old toothbrush before re-oiling this gets rid of a lot of factory gunk at the joint. A drop of oil inside on the backprings will help also. Individual knives made to tight tolerances sometimes "wear in" for a while as the internal surfaces burnish one another a bit. It should clear up in a few days of use.
