When I first got into collecting quality pocket knives like CRK models, I must own up to being somewhat... reluctant to use them for fear of loosing that 'like new' perfection.

Well after a few months of hard use in work, my Large BG-42 Classic MM (6-50) has performed with amazing grace and efficiancy!

The worst I can say is the grey Ti is now somewhat shiney around the leading edges and hand gripped areas of the handle. It looks used, but wow! What a knife. It looks just as good if not better to me. The important thing is the edge is razor sharp and the blade is not marred with any marks!

Chris built these knives for use and I can at last be happy in that I now use my Sebi in a G2 sheath daily. It goes EVERYWHERE I go! I can't imagine a day in which this reasuring weight on my left side has not given my life a positive aspect. One hell of a knife, one I would and do trust my very life 110% to. When the chips are down I can't imagine another folder being in my hand.

Thank you Anne and Chris and all the people as Reeve knives, you product is simply... simplicity, strength and function with an inner and outer core of beauty for all to behold. Oh and a big thank you to the CRK Knuts here at Bladeforums for getting me into these knives. You know who you are!;)

General - The large Classic is THE big knife for me. I won't buy any other big custom or production folders because I don't need them with the large Classic at hand. I have grown to really like this big folder and clipped to your jeans or at your side in a sheath it doesn't feel cumbersome at all.

Great hard use knife.

I feel the same way about my small Sebenza. I honestly believe that a finer knife can't be had.

The only thing at this point that might kick it outta my pocket/G2 sheath is the new-steeled Small that I'll have soon (hopefully)!

Great little knives that perform up-to-par with the hype and intrigue that surrounds them. I think they might just be "magical," as I've heard them described with dubious tonality from other forum members...

By the way, I'd love to see some pics of Sebs that have been in service for several years, if anybody's willing?

Professor.

I just love those large Classics........especially those with inlays:D I had my share of customs and ended up coming back to perfection personified CRK's Sebenza's!!:D :D Just hoping my large wood inlaid Classic with the new S30V steel gets ready soon!

My small classic has some user marks on it as well and I think that it looks as good today as it did the day I got it. I carry my Sebbie almost everyday. It is my favorite knife. I hope to get one of those new small classic wood inlays. I too would like to see some pics of some well used Sebbies. :)

Here is a picture of my small classic. I just traded for it this past week and haven't carried it but twice but it already has lots of character marks :D I think it looks as good as a new one. It has that broken in look like a pair of broken in blue jeans :)

Now THAT is the way a Sebenza is supposed to look! Well used for sure but look at the condition of the blade. Well used but not abused, says a lot about the owner. Thanks for that.:)

And you know what?
I's all my fault if Wayne is a Benza Knut !

And I am very proud of it !

My classic ATS34 Large Sebenza is continuing to spread
its disease and should be home very soon.

My small regular BG42 Sebenza is used everyday and I will show a picture soon.

Last time Fred Perrin hold in his hands he said:
"of course this is a sure value..."

If he was not afraid to lose in his adventures he would have one, for sure...

Cheers,

JM

Yes, I can confirm that Nemo's ATS-34 Large was a killer, (knife that is!). A few months with that knife and I was hooked (well ok, a few mins then!:) )

Thanks again and oh, who is the next victim/lucky bugger to get to use Honor?

Let me know if you ever decide to sell him Nemo, you know he would go to a good home:D !!!

All the very best,

Wayne

Hello Wayne,

Honor is a gift from Huan CHang Hsu also known as "Hunter"
who used to be an active forum member back in 1997 !

It cannot be sale but it's an incredible embassador to Chris work!

cheers,

JM

Good to hear from you again Nemo! I know you would never sell him, but I had to ask!;)

To everyone else, this knife had the ... Quality that made you realise you had found the:confused: Perfect? Ideal? Knife. Some things go beyond what they appear to be, they are something far more. This amazing knife 'Honor' is just such a knife. I can see and feel him right now in my minds eye.

Nemo, I hope we get the chance to meet real soon and I can hold Honor again for a little while!

If I point at a baby wolf and when you turn around am running away, you will know why!:D :p :)

Take care my friend!

Wayne
