There was a time in the ancient past in distant lands when warriors wore their daggers strapped to their upper arms (where the triceps and biceps meet).
I believe it was considered convenient at that time because long sleeves were not the "in" thing then.
Technically, if you were to roam around the wild in a sleevelss vest a la Rambo style, that would be a practical way of wearing your 2nd knife or third.
Sometimes period movies show this particular way of knives being carried by warriors. Personally, I like it. It looks "cool."
