Who else rocks their timepiece with the face on the inside of your wrist?

To me it feels so much more natural to peep at the time wearing my watch this way

I always used to wear it inside my wrist when i was a kid. If I didn't, I banged it up running around. i still prefer it. But I've got a Black Monster now and since I spend more time at the computer than falling down on the rocks, it just bangs against the desk. So I wear it on top of the wrist now.

I wear mine like that, more natural for me as well. And as a cadet, it doesn't get in the way as much when you get told to find some real-estate and start pushing.

I wear mine like that. Only one out of everyone I know. When I'm crawling around (work related - running wire), I turn it face up.

I do. Don't know why though. Very rarely (read never) turn it face out. More natural position to see while obtaining pulse I guess. And it protects the face a bit more.

good observation, I'm a pocket watch guy myself. At least for dress. At work I cant access the pocket (as well as the derth of actual "watchpockets" nowadays). I wear a belt mounted "GuardDog" for easy use. On those occations where I wear a wristwatch, I also wear it inside on the left wrist. What say you guys about left vs right arm? Been doing it on the inside since gradeschool, cant remember why I started either.

I like larger watches, and if I wear them face in, they bang on the desk constantly when I type. I have tried it a few times, but that bugs me a lot. I tend to bang and scrape the face alot more if I am wearing it face in too.

On the left/right thing, I have been wearing my watch on the left wrist forever. I am so conditioned to it that if I put it on my right wrist, it actually hurts and turns red after an hour or so.

Now I am different but I wear my watch on the right hand, gasp! Got called gay and other things as a kid in school but I am right handed so it feels natural for me.

The inside of the wrist is what I call nurse style as you often see movie nurses lift up their watch arm when they are taking a pulse.

For me, just moving my arm here, it seems more natural ie. less forearm musles stretch when I look at the back of the wrist rather than the inside.

Oh, the whole idea of wearing a watch on the left hand...the likely got its start due to the fact that most people are right handed and also write with their right hand. So If I did the inside wrist method my watch would be a bump on my wrist when I use a computer mouse.

I got into the habit of wearing the watch face inside because while riding a motorcycle, it was easier to see the time. If worn with the face of the watch facing out, it was hard to stretch your arm out and twist enough to get the sleeve up enough to see the watch face. The habit just stuck.

Carl.

I would have just figured you were left handed. And I too used to wear my watch "nurse" style when I was a CNA in my early 20's.:p

EDIT: this was supposed to be a reply to SirJames, but my stupid fingers clicked the wrong button.
