Weather in Atlantis?

A few years ago I met a weather person at a party. (we used to call the women "Weather Bunnies," but that is not PC anymore). This was back in my single days and she had been drinking.

Anyhow I asked why weather in Atlanta was so weird and why, with all the satellite stuff, isotherms and isobars, etc, etc, they NEVER seem to get our weather right?

She gave me her personal theory. She reasoned out that her gizmos helped predict Atlanta weather properly, but that Atlanta was the feminine reincarnation of Atlantis

That all the old, powerful Atlantean souls from Atlantis had reincarnated in Atlanta and that even though they were not conscious of this that they still had powers.

So when she went on the 11 o'clock news and said it was going to rain tomorrow, all us "old Atlantean souls" would go to sleep saying, "I don't want it to rain, or snow, or ice," or whatever she predicted,

AND THE WEATHER WOULD CHANGE to something else.

So she was quitting the weather show and taking a job selling hot tubs.

Guess we "old Atlantean souls" showed her!

I used to have a few interesting "party lines" myself......:D

Hmm, well, if the old Cherokee story about the origins of the southeastern tribes are right... you never know. We were said to have come from an island called Elohi Mona, which was destroyed- much like the story of Atlantis.
