I know this doesn't really belong here but...
I live in Colo and its snowing right now 21:37 02-01-08 , so what you say, yeah but it is lightening and thundering like crazy with it. I have never seen it together. Just thought I'd share

yeah,

I've seen it snow in the summer, I've seen it snow with little or no clouds, heck I've even seen it snow and rain, but this is different. Kinda cool:cool:

Cool, looks like from the weather map we , on the east side of the metro area, could get some accumulation.

I've seen that happen before. I'm not sure on the year, '82 maybe, there was a thunderstorm all day then it changed to snow around 8pm. The storm stalled over us and dropped 42 inches in one night. I had went over to a friend's that night for the weekly poker game and 5 of us ended up being stuck there for 3 days.

Ya - its weird but can happen. Earlier this year we had the thunderstorm w/ snow. Anything that comes down fast enough and can create the static will cause the "thunder storm"

Kind of cool though isn't it? :)

They often refer the phenomena as Thunder Snow. It happens very rarely around these parts. If it does its usually in the fall when a vigorous low pressure comes through the area.
