Any suggestions on a web host provider? And before you say Atlanta Virtual I've been getting the runaround from them and my site is now down.

Thanks,
Will

Hi Will,

Well, even though you said not to, I have to say Atlanta Virtual as I think it's important to support those in our industry. Maybe give Alex a call directly?

As another option, I built these set of web pages for my friend Matt Walker:

http://www.MatthewDWalker.com

and he uses the following hosting service:

http://www.ixwebhosting.com/index.php/v2/pages.dspmain

and has been pleased with both the service and price.

:)

I asked the same question a awhile back, and I think SBC got the most votes.
I use Dslextreme. My website was down for a few days recently, but I think things are finally sorted out. Somehow our account was put in someones elses name.... What a fiasco.

I set up a domain and web hosting for Tony Bose(http://boseknives.com) and will be doing the development on that. I used http://GoDaddy.com. I think the services they provide are hard to beat, but that is just one man's oppinion. I haven't heard any horror stories about them....yet :)

I'll second Godaddy. Had a photography business for 5 years and had nothing but awesome service from them.

how much does GoDaddy run? also how much space do you get?

I'll dig that up and tell ya...

I got the 2 yr economy hosting on linux with PHP for under $77, business domain hosting for 1 yr was under $19. That gives us:

5000.00 MB disk space
250000.00 MB bandwidth

Site isn't developed yet but I have put lots of images up there that lots of folks have hit and we are barely scratchin the usage "surface", if you will.

I should also add, the web stats that they generate and you can use to see how useful your site is....IS AMAZINGLY DETAILED. Overall it's a pretty good value I think

what do yall recommend as far as language to use? html, php, xml, pearl? what did yall use on your sites? i only know html but one of my hunting buddies who is also one of my best friends does web design and i know that he would build the site for me if i should use anything other than html.

Let's generate some more stats. Here are some images I shot and posted there. Looks like it works pretty good to me.

Here is a 3 1/4" TBose Swayback Jack Gents Knife, 410 stainless liners abd bolsters, 410 pinned on shield, ATS-34 blade and spring, fluted bolster. Blade has hand rubbed finish. Outstanding amber stag haft. Going to the big show.
