I'm underwhelmed by everything on there right now.
The "beautiful" Apple Coral slabs on that $200 110 are ugly as sin. Looks like fossilized cow afterbirth. Maybe if they had called it that instead of Apple Coral it would have sold better.
The 55 with jigged buff is the only thing that pleases the eye......and the price sours the stomach.
The "Rising Wisdom" 110 looks like it was done in 15 minutes on a Yellowhorse apprentice assembly line.
The Giraffe Bucklock looks pretty good, but......again, $125????? Have giraffes gone extinct or something?
I guess I'm just turning into a very hard to please old grouch.
I'd like to see some 100 series or Kalinga or Akonua fixed-blades in D2 with handles of nicely figured ironwood or KOA or stag or elk or ivory or even a good synthetic that has that nice, soft, slightly yellowed, ivory look.
I'm well-pleased with my Chipflint 119 with the buff handle......the price was good, too.
Even a 120 in a simple red bone of the type used in the excellent Buckscript 110 would make for a desirable knife that I would buy.
The odd (and, I suppose, cheap) woods like palm look--not surprisingly--odd and cheap..........and last time I checked, odd and cheap-looking were not usually desirable attributes in a knife.
Right now the pickings on the Buck website are slim, at least for me.
