I was informed by WebShots picture hosting website that my hunting shots were in the same catagory as child porn so they deleted 17 of my "harvest" pictures. They threatened me with legal action. That is just nuts!!
PC run amok.Is photobucket anti-hunting pictures??

I would have to try them on that one. Maybe you should reverse it and take legal action on them. :D

That's BS. I'd close my account, but it would be too much of a pain at this point.

That is kind of strange. I wonder - where do they thing meat comes from? What do they think that looks like? I saw the pictures, they were very matter-of-fact pictures of butchering an animal. How the hell do they think meat gets in those little plastic wrapped packages?

Well, the Meat Fairy just makes them like that out of thin air, Nathan. All pre-cut and everything, because God forbid anyone should actually own one of those horrible knives or something - somebody might get hurt.

And by the way (putting on my lawyer hat), you have no legal recourse against WebShots. They have no obligation to provide the service to anyone.

I had a friend that thought it should be mandatory to get out of high school to
spend 1 day at either a beef or pork packing plant, starting with slaughtering the
animals. I really have no idea where the hell some people think meat comes from
-of course the yellow, pink, or blue styrofoam at your grocer.
Ken.

The UK has completely lost all touch with reality. I suppose we can only be thankful we don't live there.

I am still trying to figure out how hunting and kiddy porn are related.
Hunting is a recognized sport, and often carried out by governments to cull herds. Governments actually get something back from legal hunters,at least here when my father was alive he would send skins and other parts to the ministry of natural resourses and get a MNR hat back in return, not sure if that is stil practiced in Ontario or not, but the MNR got the something to test the health of the herd and we got the meat.
I am not a hunter, tried it and didn't enjoy it, but I have nothing against it and love to hear others tales of a good hunt, and pictures help bring the story to life

There is a case in front of the Supreme Court that covers abuse of animals. There is a Federal law that prohibits the depiction of any cruelty to animals and any illegal activity regarding animals on film. It does not allow for were the film was shot, IE if it is legal in one state/country but not in the state the film was viewed the it is illegal and can be prosecuted. A film maker made a documentary that showed a dog fight scene in Japan and was arrested and charged under this law. The film was showing the horrors of dogfighting and was only a very short scene. So it is now expanding to all hunting. If it is legal to take an animal in one state but not another then the hunting shows would not be allowed to show the film in the state that it is illegal. IE use of a crossbow is legal in many states but not California or Oregon. If an animal was legally harvested on film with a crossbow then it could not be shown in CA or OR. So the owner of photo bucket may have the law on their side.

Now here is a copy of a classified add in a SF newspaper that shows the mentality of some anti hunters.
