Website preview.

Hey, now we're talkin'!

Navigates nicely.....and oh yeah, CARBON STEEL BLADES, BABY!

Bill

P.S.
That blacksmith is gonna get tired! :D

I still have to go over the texts about the knives and make sure that materials etc. are correct. Don't take all the text as perfect quite yet.

Looks fine to me.

By the way, is the Alaska sweepstakes trip available for non-US citizens/residents ?.
If not it should say so under eligibility.

Luis

P.S. Then again, I don´t think Mexican customs allow for bringing in a dead bear.

Don Luis, you know this is coming.......

Bring 'em back alive. :D

Bill

P.S.
I hope you do win. ;)

Back alive ?

Good idea, maybe I could tell the U.S. police that the bear is an illegal alien from Mexico ("see, he has no green card"), and they´ll send him to Mexico for free :D .

Gosh, we are highjacking the thread again...

Is the store open yet?

I see a couple of real gotta haves! A NEW 160 OT and 25 OT?

I registered for the contest and set up a login on the store and posted a message to the Bulletin board. Everything seems to be working.
All the links I tested seem working.
Nice!

Any areas you want us to bang at?

Thanks for the invite.
Larry

Nice work, Steve and thank you!

I'm very hopeful our favorite knife company will be around another 100 years. I like those anniversary knives. I'll get the one of the hunters, either the folder or the fixed blade.

Collectors club? How did this get by me? A wise move on the part of Schrade, but it's playing catchup with Camillus, Buck and Case. But used wisely, it could be a great help to the company we all love. Case sells many thousands of knives every year that NEVER GET USED! That's like the Postal service selling stamps to collectors, almost. The knives never get used, don't break and get returned for a refund, and people have to have every new issue.

I gotta enter that contest. Thanks again, Steve

Phil

Don Luis & El Lobo.

You guys can have the trip. I want 2nd prize!
Besides with my luck I'd schdule the trip during Black Fly,Gnat and Moosekeeto season just as the glaciars decide to melt.
Hell, thats just like being in NH during June.

Best of luck..
Larry

Elmer Keith said there isn't a second place winner. Guess he was talkin' 'bout some other contest, huh? This second prize looks great, as does even the 3rd prize.

Hey Larry, maybe they'll give you a BS60 if you're 3rd. :D

They're probably gonna raid LT's collection for all the prizes for us......just kiddin' LT. :)

Bill

Don't know about the rest of ya but I'm beginnin to like this new guy. Thanks for the preview Schradewebguy.

Did anyone else notice the 108OT is now a lockback instead of a liner lock? Also thought the 97OT had been discontinued last year, nice to see it still in the lineup. Now I just have to come up with the cash for the anniversary lineup, never thought I'd see those models back in production.

OTGuy,
Good find.
I think the picture with the 108OT text is really a 3OT..
Like Steve said it aint perfect yet.

El Lobo, I got my BS60 thanks to someone we know showing me the way.

I'll post a pict after I get it and clean it up a little.

I could have picked up one of the complete sets of IXL's that were offered recently but I was already into tunnel vision on this one blade. Besides my wife would have used one of my fixed Schrade blades to filet something I need.

Have a great weekend all!

Nice new website there, Schrade.

It's nice to see one of my favourite knives, the 160OT (have 6 myself), being made again, even if it's only as a limited edition. What happened to the 160OT's old name: Mountain Lion?

Two knives that particularly interest me are the XTAC Gold Series SQ598 and 598T (ATS-34, G-10, liner lock). How much are those?

Too bad Schrade distribution in the Toronto area is pretty lousy. Maybe this will improve somewhat when the new Bass Pro Shops store opens up around here.

Thanks, Scradewebguy.

Personally, I´ll wait until the site is official before taking everything on it for true, like Steve said, not soooo fast.

Hopefully some things are typo errors, and not for real, such the 96OT Bearhead Trapper and the 152OT Sharpfinger being stainless instead of carbon steel.

I'm on vacation this week, doing some camping, hiking, biking, rock climbing, etc. so my posting will be 'spotty'. I am getting some revised texts from marketing this week, then it goes live. I'm going to try to push for a years end two-week availability of all the anniversary knives at once, sort of a holiday gift in case anyone missed any of the knives and still wants them... we've been having sporadic problems with them now and again.

One complaint. CSW72 is listed as a "Traditional Muskrat pattern", but shows a picture of a peanut. CSW77 shows a muskrat and the model # agrees with the now discontinued Schrade muskrat patern. So, the text "Traditional Muskrat pattern" should be with the CSW77. The current website has the same problem. Other than that, love the new site.

For Marty123:

I got to play with an XTAC series last night at Walmart. The asking price was $35.

Fit and finish were good, and I particularly liked the feel of the G10 handles. I also handled a Cable Lock at the same time, and the grind on the XTAC was much better. The liner lock was a little thin for my taste, but it locked with authority and there was no blade play. Seemed like a very good deal for the money. Reminded me a little of the old Kershaw Wild, Wild Turkey.

Just a little info.

OHH OHH a year end holiday gift for ourselves.....and its knives!
Good idea on that Schradeguy.....
I like the look of the new site..... :D

Cheers,
Kap
