Fellow Hogs,

I turn to the trough for some wisdom. I'm getting married a month from tomorrow and need to get a gift for my groomsmen. Six of them! I'm thinking of picking up something sharp. Sure wish there was something like a scotch dispenser or skeleton warden available right now. But since there isn't, any good suggestions? What did you get for your attendants? My brain is vapor locked. Throw some ideas at me. Please!

Ooooo ---- first off ---- Congrats!!! Secondly, I'm in the same boat. Personally, I doubt my 8 groomsmen would appreciate the quality and refinement of Bussekin Knives. If they did, the RMD would be my choice. Since my budget wasn't high enough to include over $150 gift for each groomsmen, I went with some nice Condor knives. My Best Men (I have 2) are getting two knives each, whereas the rest of the groomsmen are getting one. Hope that helps and good luck and many blessings headed your way. Cheers!

Sadly, the ones you want are not available. Maybe Izulas for everyone? Can even get them engraved for cheap to free at a site I know of.

I'd say the ones you're looking at would be perfect if they were still offered. Maybe keep an eye out for a while. Bossman and co are releasing new stuff all the time these days.

I got my groomsmen some survival kit items, ferro rod, magnesium bar, space blanket, a pouch to hold it all and a 7" Mora.

The idea was to get them thinking along my lines, and hopefully get an itch to go more expensive with a blade or entire kit.

The best gift that you can give, is the seed of knowledge. Start them on the path, hopefully they take the nudge and run with it.

A horse to water so to speak.

Hmmm excellent advise --- I might just incorporate some of that Timmy!! Thanks!!

Sadly, I'm still the Tinfoil Hat wearing black sheep. "Nothing's going to happen" " the government will take care of us" "there's no such thing as one foot tall pink elephants" "your hair will grow back".

I've heard it all. :foot:

Good luck with whatever gift you choose for the special Bros in your life fellas. Nothing better than bros who have your back.

You should also give Busse a call, you never know what blanks are laying around. And even though the custom shop is closed they might make an exception cause it's your wedding.

I went through the same thing not too long ago. Like Rob_Mob said, I doubt they'd appreciate a nice blade as much as you plus the cost of a nice blade for everyone is expensive. I bought my best men a knife but everyone else a personalized Louisville Slugger Bat with their name engraved on it. Being that I live in Louisville, KY, I have easy access to the Slugger Factory here locally but I am sure you could have them shipped. Good luck and congrats!

For my groomsman, I purchased them Spyderco Tenacious, a quality knife, that I was comfortable with it being lost, or forgotten about.

I also bought a run of Great Eastern Cutlery folders to go with the money clips.

Then I made some small wooden boxes out of some old shutters from my family home to put it all in.

It went over pretty well.

All great ideas, gents. Thank you! I've been looking at the Spyderco Tenacious as well. Not much more than a Swiss Army knife and who doesn't want a Spyderco.

I agree with the Spyderco. Maybe the Centophante or Delica. Kershaw Blur has a lot of options and even if they are not blade guy it is fun to play with.

Congratulations! I've been married for 21 years. It can change your life and make you a better man!

I like the multi tool idea! That or a nice folder like Spyderco or Benchmade. Not everyone appreciates a fixed blade but it's hard to argue against a good pocketknife!

Whatever you decide on probably won't matter too much. These are your groomsmen which means these guys are close friends or relatives. They're happy to be there to support you and share in the happiness.

Congratulations on your wedding!!

My Best Man and Groomsmen are not knife guys, so I didn't think they'd appreciate the same thing us Knife Knuts do.
I went with SAK Huntsman in black, and I added the mini screw driver and pins to each one.

Good luck!!!

If SAKs are on the table, CutleryShoppe has orange and blue alox Farmer exclusives right now.
