I’m attempting to mount a Pulaski, and the max width of the eye of the tool is slightly under 5/8”. The wedges that came with the handle are 15/16”. Should I find some smaller hammer size wedges? What size wedges should I use for this haft? What is a good online source for various size wedges? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You can sand the wedges thinner before inserting them if you have a belt sander. No need to buy a different wedge. It’s just wood and can be shaped to whatever size you need.

Sorry, I should have clarified, I’m referring to the metal wedges.

Ok. I would try to find a wooden wedge to put in it. The metal wedges are actually cross wedges meant to cross the wood wedge. Not many people on here use them. I for sure wouldn’t use one to as my only means of holding the head on the handle. They won’t hold up as long as the wood wedge.
