Mmmm..another katar.
I knew there had been at least 4.![]()
This fits the definition of a punch dagger, so beware. It may be illegal in your state. It is illegal in the whole of Canada. I have just lodged an appeal that customs confiscated a 17th century Katar of mine that I brought over from England.
Should someone learn that they can no longer legally own their katar, I will gladly take it off their hands for them.
Do not thank me for this service. I consider it to be my civic duty.
I guess this answers my question in the other katar thread.
Looks nice.
Looks like they have improved the handle a bit over the original design.
I would imagine that these would be legal in most states as long as it is on your own premises (although I would really want to check the regs in places like California, Massachusetts, and Chicago). Just don't get in the habit of carrying a katar concealed in public.

The law doesn't differentiate what you do with it, _possession_ is prohibited where a punch dagger is illegal.
The law was brought in to make belt buckle knifes, the 'constant companion' illegal. By fuzzy law, it includes katars.
