I'm sorry to be bothering the forum again, but what kind of crack is on the blade near the tip of the 15" Panameary? Is the crack perpendicular to the edge or spine or parallel to one of them? Which one please? Does the crack intersect the edge or spine? Is the crack jagged or straight? Is there any discoloration around the crack that would suggest exposure to a chemical?

My bet? Just a stress fracture from the heat treat. Think most people get Panamearys' for wall-hangers though, so NBD.

Email sent for the 9 1/4'' 8 ounce R-7 by Ram Kumar. Looks like it might be a good knife for whittling and other small tasks, and I like that the handle is a decent size.
