14 34'' inch 22 ounce BAS Khukuri by Lok Kami. Beautiful rig! Tiny hairline crack and natural gain mark on horn handle. Great deal for first time HI Knife collector at $85. *SOLD*





15 3/4 inch 22 ounce Kumar villager utility knife by Kumar. Field sharp blade. Small hair line crack in saur wood handle. Steel at $58. *SOLD*

Well I'm glad I didn't wager money with Ndog, I predicted we wouldn't see a DOD today and surprise, surprise here we are.

Tried for the BAS. Greeeeeedy me. My poor shark teeth aren't really healed but I just could not pass up that one.

Well, I sent an email about the Villager Utility Knife. I don't really need a second kukri, but a couple of other purchases I wanted to make fell through, and I could use a treat.

Don't tempt me! I've been haunting these forums the last week or so, looking for a good deal, and I can see how it could be a very difficult habit to break...

Hubby says he got a Done Deal on this this morning. Just sent out the paypal so that BAS is coming home to me :)
 
Shavru - you are really going to like that BAS, i've got one by LOK, horn handle too, and the balance is superb, I love mine. In fact, it's one of three "go to" khuks, that I grab, when I need to tackle a "job" that requires a khuk, you know? :)
 
Thanks cul4u01. It is definately one that has been on my wish list since I first started looking at HI. Petros, could not agree more. I was so surprised I kept thinking I was going to be too late even after I sent the email. Waiting overnight to hear made the Done Deal even sweeter though.
 
Got a confirmation for the utility knife & medical sheath - it'll complement my 18-inch WW2 nicely. I hadn't realized international shipping increased in price since last year, but oh well. I'll just have to buy two or three knives next time, to combine the cost :)
 
Congrats Finn, yeah I noticed on something I bought a few weeks ago from Europe that the price for shipping was suddenly almost a 50% increase over a previous purchase a while back. Not sure when the change and it certainly wasn't published on this side of the pond.

I like the way you think on solving the problem though :)
