hey folks.. here's some pics from our camping trip this past weekend.. we went to a place called Plaskett Creek, which is a small campground on the beautiful California caost.. this spot is south of Big Sur and is actually part of(operated by) Los Padres national forest..
we had a friend get there early Wed. morning and get 3 big sites, which would accomidate our big crew of friends.... one of which celebrated her 42nd birthday there.. our older son wasn't even with us this time, so we took our dog.. he went with a friend of a to a big music festival.. it's the same one we have gone to many times.. he got home today and had a great time..

we left here last Thursday afternoon to beat the weekend traffic and made the 2.5 hour drive, go by in no time.. we took CA. state HWY 1 the whole way to get there.. once you get out of Monterey, the road hugs the coast line forever...

on to the pics..

this area is usually pretty foggy, so we got a lot of it over the weekend.. i love it.. this was our drive there..

the beach is about a 10 minute hike from our camp.. it is absolutely amazing.. we spent a lot of time there and hiking the coastal bluffs..

Awesome! I love the mountains, but there is soothing special about camping by the beach.

Man, looks like you guys had an awesome weekend!

The rocks and cliffs, one of the reasons I love the California coast!

Great, thanks for the dog pics, not like Kathryn has been wanting one bad enough...:jerkit:

D-- this was about a 2.5 hour drive south of where we live in Santa Cruz..

Once again, great pics brother.

Ya know...Im gonna be in the woods too like every weekend this month lol....Booked up.

That tent looks nice. Thats what were gonna put the dividends to next year. You like that model? Set up easy? How was the dampness in the AM?

We cant wait to make it out to see you guys again.

cheers Jake... we're looking forward to seeing you folks again too.. :)

as for the tent, it is really nice... we love everything about it, with the exception of the fact that a portion of the rain-fly is sold seperately.. it has 2 doors and the existing fly only gives full coverage to one of them... oh well.. just more $$ to spend i guess...:o

wtf? Thats weird.....

Youre correct...Just more $$

It looks nice though, and I think REI makes nice stuff.

Great stuff Mike - love that first fog shot. That colt knife looks like a similar handle to the boat tail scandi. A trend?

Great pics, beautiful scenery! I'm hungry after looking at your food!

that first picture is amazing. looks like your in the clouds. awesome place you get to hang out in for sure

Beautiful pics, Mike. Your little guy is getting tall. I've never camped near the beach, but I bet it is awesome!
