hey folks.. here's some pics from our camping trip this past weekend.. we went to a place called Plaskett Creek, which is a small campground on the beautiful California caost.. this spot is south of Big Sur and is actually part of(operated by) Los Padres national forest..
we had a friend get there early Wed. morning and get 3 big sites, which would accomidate our big crew of friends.... one of which celebrated her 42nd birthday there.. our older son wasn't even with us this time, so we took our dog.. he went with a friend of a to a big music festival.. it's the same one we have gone to many times.. he got home today and had a great time..
we left here last Thursday afternoon to beat the weekend traffic and made the 2.5 hour drive, go by in no time.. we took CA. state HWY 1 the whole way to get there.. once you get out of Monterey, the road hugs the coast line forever...
on to the pics..
this area is usually pretty foggy, so we got a lot of it over the weekend.. i love it.. this was our drive there..
the beach is about a 10 minute hike from our camp.. it is absolutely amazing.. we spent a lot of time there and hiking the coastal bluffs..
we had a quite a few kids in our group, a lot of them, like this beach bum, were boogie boarding surfing the small waves..
