ULTIMATE FIGHTER BY MASTER KAMI BURA

Named the ULTIMATE FIGHTER this Knife is absolutely awesome. It is 20 '' overall with 5/8'' spine weighing 48 oz. The handle is made of beautiful chandan wood with the habaki style bolster and buttcap of brass. It has a mushroomed full tang with a sturdy bolt attached to the buttcap to stabilize it. The scabbard is RED LEATHER and so luxurious looking. I am offering this Knife at only $245.00 *SOLD*

WOW! 48 ounces at 20 inches. That is one heavy duty knife. The back half looks like a khukri and the front like a knife. An interesting hybrid.

wow beautiful knife... kinda like an UBE meets movie model :D
congrats on who snags this beauty

I like the large diameter handle. Make one of these chiruwa style and it would be awesome. OK - I am overly fond of chiruwa stlye handles:D

Wow, that is wild. But I've got a CAK coming my way Mon. or Tues., so I've hit my kuk limit for the month :(

the chandan on this baby is BEAUTIFUL!!!
somebody please jump on this already :grumpy:

you know you want it westfork.... your sharking instincts are telling you to jump on this one :D
thats why you keep on returning to this page to view its awesomeness :)
resistance is futile...

Jai, I thought that was why you keep coming back also. Hopefully someone grabs it soon to remove the temptation.

Looks like I missed out on this last night. Sure would of been nice to pick it up, however I don't think Yangdu takes IOU's.

How the nut was fixed on the buttcap?

Searching previous posts, etc I found that this knife has a massive 5/8 inch wide tang that extends most of the way through the handle and then a 1/2 inch diameter bolt is welded on the end that extends through the buttcap. Basically the same construction as the normal khukri handle except the nut replaces the flattened tang on the buttcap for much greater strength. Previous buyers of this model mentioned the idea of replacing the nut and washer with a decorative brass nut of a shape that complements the design of the knife. Then it would look like the brass "skull crushers" found on some of the short swords.

Good idea. While the knife is beautiful, the bolt, washer, and nut take away from the aesthetics IMO.

Norm, do you have any pictures of your retro?

i bet someone could get an elegant pommel piece made that would fit right over that nut - either glued on - or a rare earth magnet to change your bling bling.

i know i would completely do that.
