Man that was fast.

What are the chances of a tamang kukri showing up at DOTD?

Nice knife! A real thumper. Sure hard to tell the quality from Sgt. Khadka's work.

I like the touch of the bone in the picture. :D

wow I thought that Sgt Khadka was only allowed to make bonecutters? Cool That Bhaktta is making those now too as he made my 1st Khuk that purdy ASTK

I like! But still not a true BC. Bevel is just a bit steep/short for a BC.

Actually, my Sgt. Khadka 18" BC from a DOTD a few months ago has a very similar bevel width and I think about the same time you snagged one of those too, but please correct me if not. I don't think I have seen a BC (whether Sgt's or anyone else's) that replicates the initial run of Sgt. BC's circa 2008 where the bevel is almost a full 1/3 of the belly. I am not sure why that is but my guess would be: a) very hard to make, b) this type of bevel is not traditionally seen on kuks, and c) very likely to chip in case of even the slightest problem with the heat treat. Those were crazy blades though, at least in theory.
I am very glad to see Bhakta Kami's work on these wonderful BCs and I really hope the troubles in Nepal end soon.

Maybe you're right. Looking side by side though, there's a slight difference -- probably not enough to matter anyway. :foot:

Qeth, the Tamang was recently sold on an every day basis for a month or so. These models seem to come in batches. You might have to hold your horses for a few months, and then you'll have the chance to shark one. The tamang was the model I waited for the longest, but it was worth it. It's an amazing tool.

sorry, the hat just arrived for me in the mail, Ill have to get some pics up at some point...
or right now!
