Question: How do people find the handle's on the kerambits? Given the knife is only 9 1/4" or so long, the handle seems a little on the short side... anyone have any feedback or comment on this? I really want to get one, but I'm not exactly skilled or inclined to attempt a new handle.

Darn you. Darn you all to heck! This was one of the only times I've ever wanted to Email Yangdu for all. I ceased hovering over the refresh button about a year ago, and this is the price I pay for serenity, release from HIKV, no more stomach in knots, etc...grumble, grumble. Must I reintroduce HIKV into my system? It was so hard to get out last time...

Looks can be decieving, I have one exactly like the one posted within an ounce or so. Made by Yuvraj. I'm 5'8" with smallish hands and the handle on mine is great for length( could be shorter for me), i find the girth a hair too large for MY hand, but not uncomfortably so.
The Ring also could be placed a hair lower on the handle for me, but again it could be my hand size.
Overall these Bits' are Outstanding pieces, well worth the money and i'd Honestly recommend them to anyone.

I'm 6 ft 4 with large hands. Yet have no problems with the handle of my JKM-1's . I figure the handle of the Kerambit is similar in size if not larger. This will be my first Kerambit from HI, and it looks to be an exceptional piece. The basic design lends itself to some very interesting uses and techniques.

I'm sure you'll love It then.

Theres a finger notch just ahead of front bolster, which is quite usable. the only thing i could think of adding to these is grooving the spine above that notch and maybe some on the spine of the ring for control points.

Those ideas on the grooving are good points. I.ll wait till I get mine and see how it moves, that'll decide whether I need to make any modifications.

Radrunner send Yangdu an email she may still have another one. Just hit her icon on the post and click on send an email. She is real good about getting right back to ya.
