I have a clone of this BDC and it is just about the best handling knife I own. Just flows from one end to the other. The first BDC's were 10" and 14", but this design really came into its own when they went to 18". They were kind of scarce for a while, but I'm glad to see they're still being made, and by Bura as well.

Bura and Vim are the BDC guys, but as I recall the last few were made by Vim. Mine is this size and weight, but the handle on it has no real grain to it like this one.

I'd swear that was chandan though, at least in the first pic...
