Well guys, its a weekend again. I'm happy to report that I got two nights work in this week, and I have 13 knives on the bench ready for heat treat, and 3 woodsmen that are ready to get handles glued to them, and shaped up.

Of the 13 knives that are ground and ready for heat treat:

4 are woodsmen for the run
5 are Bushcrafters
1 Bird and trout
2 Hunters
2 Big Ass Choppers

THe handle material for all these knives is ready to go! Things are moving much quicker since I got the furnace!

looking forward to seeing the choppers
(Not to mention that I am in line for a Woodsman)

hey andy i would like to see those big ass choppers

oh nice , i thougth you were going to cut that from the drawing on the blade lol lol whats the oal size?

You're not too late! I'm just getting things kicked into gear here.

i really enjoy the pommel on the middle big ol chopper looks a bit fatter and would be easier to choke down on. full convex grind sweetness!

Man, the handles. I know the one I glued up last night is curly Koa and Maple. I've also glued up some curly Maple with Rosewood, and curly Maple and Black Palm. One Bushcrafter is going to get orange G-10. There is another curly Koa and Rosewood down there. The BAC's are going to get micarta and G-10, one is natural micarta and black G-10, and one is red linen and black G-10.

All 13 knives got heat treated. I got 6 to glueup last night. Two Woodsmen for the run. And the three tapered tang prototypes, and the Runt prototype.

Baltic Birch with lots of figure, and a liner of Paduk.

Will any of the prototypes be up for grabs or are these going into your collection, a pass-around, etc?

Passarounds are likely. One prototype was done in black palm. I've not used this wood yet, and want to thoroughly test it out. I think I'm going to need to send it out to be stabalized before using it as an outter layer. So, not for sale. One is a little bird and trout, and its so pretty. I'm falling for it. Sometimes they're hard to send out. But Tony wants it, so I'll probably sell it to him. Tony has been really supportive of my business. The third is a Bushcrafter with a tapered tang and Curly Koa scales. Thats the one I really wanted for myself. I'll likely send it out in a passaround first though.

As to my collection. Its mostly other makers. I buy their knives to study them. I only 'own' two of my knives. My first (total joke) and my Woodsman that is in the Passaround. When I get that one back I'm going to treasure it because so many fine friends have handled it.

I have 4 more Bushcrafters on the bench, one Hunter (new model), two BAC's (only one will be for sale), and 4 Woodsmen.

If you act like a knucklehead, I'll keep it. Now get to posting your pic in use thread of your woodsman so you get your discount!

Hey I was being sincere:o

I will get some pics up tomorrow though.

I cut up a whole fillet Mignone with it the day I got it. It slices great. I didn't get any pics though, I was too hungry:p

I'm teasing ya. Cool ass!!!! Can't wait to see what you guys do with the knife!

I finally figured out when and where The Gaucho sold:( Now I've got nearly $200 in knife money burning a hole in my pocket:) I'll be eager to see what comes off the bench this weekend!
