This is what happens when a bunch of knifemakers get together in my shop for the weekend......

An inset lock version of the Mohawk Warrior pattern.

It has a 4" hand-rubbed S30V blade, .100" thick lock set into a .188" thick 6AL4V frame, gold anodized engraving, and multi-colored frame scales.

It took a lot of effort on everyone's part to get it finished in the short timeframe allowed, but the really difficult part was deciding what to build and how to build it. ;)

Fantastic Tom,more pics please. Also let us in on who the other hacks were.:D

Sorry, we only had time to take one photo.

Ron Nott did the engraving and helped develop the "look" of the project.

Larry Beverly won the knife in the raffle - and did a nice silversmithing demo for us.

Ray Murski took the photo, helped coordinate the project, and helped with the assembly, sanding, anodizing, fitting, and inspection.

Don Crockett also helped with assembly, sanding, anodizing, fitting, and inspection.

Joe Whalen also pitched in with the assembly, sanding, anodizing, fitting, and inspection.

Paul Demme was also there. (He's not a knifemaker, but I figured it might be a good idea to have an EMT around! :D) I'm fairly sure he got dirty, too! :p (Can't have any "slackers" around if you want to build something like this in two days! ;) )

As always Tom, that's a sweet knife. It's good to see you psoting on here again, I don't remember seeing anything from you on here in the last couple of months.

Really great looking knife!

How did you make the curve where the bolster and handle material meet? The fit looks perfect!

There really aren't any bolsters - Ron cut curved lines and we used them as a guide to apply the masking before applying the blue colors.

The engraving was anodized with a small brush and then we sanded off the run-over areas.

Both sides of the frame were finished using the same technique.

Tom send that bunch of knifemakers to my shop. I have drooled over Ron Notts work for years. Very nice knife!

Great knife, thanks for sharing the pics.

BTW, don't forget to send the knife back to me when you're done with it ;)
