Well, it's friday again. finally.

What's everyone's projects for the weekend?

For some reason, I've been stuck on hamons lately, so I plan on doing more research, and more experimenting. I bought myself 5 pounds of satanite from Darren Ellis last week, so I should be good for the weekend. ;)

Im going to Kmart and buy some kids modeling clay and make a model battle-axe head with it. I need to know how big a piece of damascus steel it takes to forge it to shape. I also need to figure out where to make the cuts in it to open it up for the edge and "fleur de lis" shaped spike.

Grass needs mowing. :grumpy:
I am going to forge a new trigger guard! :)
I have to buy and install a new stove.
I may go fishing :) ;) :)
I have to work Sunday

Oh I forgot...I'm going to forge the head for my hidden hawk head cane!

I've got three orders for forges to work on, and then I've got to try to get some more finished up to bring to Batson's with me. I was hoping to get time to finish up some knives to bring too, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen unfortunately. Oh well, forges pay the bills too! :)

I'm going to put the new doors on my shop, and get some exercise. Doc says I have to lower my blood pressure or go on ace-inhibitors for the rest of my life. :grumpy:

Nothing but hang out with the kid, eat icecream and macaroni and cheese and watch cartoons. Life doesn't get much better than that. :D

more work on the new bath and kitchen, haul the young ones car to the shop I an't working on it no more
get a new puter for the wifie I an't working on that no more either :grumpy:
work on a bowie a little :D
get ready to go see the VA doc monday on my dam Back :grumpy:
get ready for the NCCA show on the 4th :D just to mention a few things :)

Got to replace the recessed 4 tube light fixture in the kitchen.

Mowing the lawn will happen too, as will re-assembling the damn Honda mower so I can sell it.

Must post some junk on ebay to finance further shop purchases (I actually sold half a sawed-in-half motorcycle helmet this week! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...&category=20924&sspagename=STRK:MESSO:IT&rd=1).

Hopefully I'll finish up the boom stand for the wife's microscope too (and get some quality shop time in).

THEN I'M OFF ALL NEXT WEEK :)!!! No travel plans as the wife's in school, no family committments, no major home improvement projects. So basically, I get to pretty much just screw off for an entire week doing exactly what I want to. I plan on doing some serious scrounging, maybe visit a few industrial surplus places I can never get to because they're not open on weekends. See if I can find up a few more odds and ends needed for the shop. I might even visit a couple scrap metal dealers and see if I can scare up some plate steel for some fixturing I want to build. I'm really looking forward to spending a lot of time in my shop and not talking on the phone or going very far from home (both of which are what I do for a living).

Oh yeah, I might drink some beer too.

John
