Weekender G10 question

I would pull the trigger on the G10 instead of the micarta if the G10 had colored pivots as well. I am wondering why the micarta got orange and the G10 got nothing? My local shop has them both and the G10 sample has better walk and talk but lacks the pop that colored pivots would add.
