Well as soon as i bought the full sized Wegner I knew I had to have the whole series.

I allready have 4 of the 5 basic versions of the knife.
Now I need the Mouse with fish & a numbered Mouse. plus a Alaska fish & Game model. plus the two custom versions.
Time to go sell some of the other knives frommthe collection!

Just got a new full-sized Wegner the other day. Fantastic knife. Perfect size, solid as a rock, and sharp as a razor right out of the box. I have the Wegner Jr., but I'm thinking about a Mouse in the not-too-distant future to complete the small-medium-large trio. Any Mouse fans out there?

I think we need to start a "Wegner Upgrade Petition." While the design of the knife is 97/100 perfect, it needs a slightly larger blade hole, an eccentric pivot pin (a la Military), and VG-10 steel. Then it would be 100/100 perfect!

Absolutely! That would be perfection.

Don't forget the fixed blade versions, this one's Talonite by Rob Simonich, and there's also one in stainless by Phil Boguszewski!

Dennis, here is my rough draft for a petition.

Wegner Clipit Upgrade Petition
</center>

"We the owners and users of the much beloved Clipit model 48 do petition thee Tim Wegner, its designer, and thee Sal Glesser, its maker, to bring some few changes to this worthy tool.

"First: Let the SpyderHole be made slightly wider, so that we may bare our blades more readily.

"Second: Let the pivot pin be made eccentric, so that our locks may be ever adjustable.

"Third: Let the steel be VG-10, so that the edge may hold and the foul corruption of rust may be kept at bay.

"Fourth and last: Let there be screws, so that the tool may be cleansed after the trials of the field."

Can I get an "Amen!" Brothers?

Hi, my name is rockspyder, and i'm a Wegner addict. TOTAL Wegner addict here. But only for the full size version. So, maybe just a C48 addict. Sal, it has replaced all my other knives as my favorite, carry around the home, work-knife (even I can't get away with this thing at the office). VG-10 or ATS-34, I don't care. THIS is one GREAT knife. Interesting thing that I have noticed: when I bear down hard on it to cut through something, or chop through a tree branch (this thing is a great chopper

), the liner lock will move all the way over to the opposite scale. There is NO blade play, though, and when I close it and open it again, it is back in its normal position. No problems, whatsover, but this is the first one that I've see do that. The way it works, I sorta count it as an enhancing characteristic, because after it moves over there, it AIN'T going anywhere.

Awesome knife, I can't wait to see Spyderco's fixed bladed version. Oh, and Brian... where might one be able to get the custom version. Is that from Rob, or Tim Wegner?

Contact Tim. He's always got a few cooking with Rob, and sometimes one or two on hand.

Hi, my name is GC and I'm a Wegner addict. I know that admittence is supposed to make this addiction thing easier to cope with, but it's tough. I have two Jr. Wegners and one Large. I'll be buying another large Wegner soon. And am impatiently waiting for a Spyderco fixed blade Wegner. I know, I know, I'm working on it....................

Some of you alls knives must be different than mine.My is perfect as is.
