1) I wish this baby weren't discontinued.
2) I have a Wegner Jr that is only a few months old, not used very much at all, and the liner travels almost all the way to the opposite scale. There is no blade play. I just want to know i) is this OK (I've had other companies' liner-locks fail); ii) can it be adjusted; c) why the liner does go all the way to the opposite scale with a slight spine-whack.

Any input is appreciated.

Nobody has any info for RLR?

I seem to recall this topic having been discussed in the past.

I have a full size Wegner and if I open it with sufficent force the liner travels all the way to the other side, but I have never had any problems with it failing. I believe it was discussed here before and someone from Spyderco said it was OK. Enjoy your JR. I am looking for one!

Spinewacking or forceful openings bend the spring lightly, which shortens the spring and permits more travel along the ramp. As long as there is no vertical play, it is ok.

Thanks... all this at once. I figured there wasn't much to worry about, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Cheers.
