I've had myself about talked into buying a Wegner Pro Hunter knife but I get confused with different models.....magnum? and extreme? etc....all seem to be same size.
Surfing the internet I find that most dealers haven't had them in months....is the knife still made?
My intent is to use it as a knife of convenience here in rural Alaska. I may cut a rope or two but mostly my knives are used in gutting and butchering several moose and occaisional bison and a bear or two each fall....
I do like a bit of serration on the back of the blade......this is very handy for cutting moose hide....in case I'm away from camp where my big Cutco serrated resides.....Cutcos are very popular in Alaska moose camps...
