The Wegner
Hi Joyce,
I traded for a Wegner and just figured it to be just another folder. the minute I held it in my hand,i knew this was the finest knife I had ever touched. What was going to be a quickly traded knife is now the finest knife in my collection and I even sleep with it.....wolf
:D

Sorry Wrong place...I am a newbie!!!!!!

Now you see why I rave about the Wegner. It is my favorite production knife. I would have never bought one until my friend Chris Christman advised me to purchase one. Holding it in my hand for the first time was a great experience. I have never felt a knife that molded to my hand so comfortably. Using it is a real pleasure. Very well thought out design. The Wegner needs to be held and used to be truly appreciated.

Now if we can just get a the Wegner Lynx in BG-42 and G-10 scales my life will be complete :D

Funny how that Wegner thing comes over people... :D

I bought mine on a blind recommendation from Greg at Skylands.

I was quite surprised. it was a trade. It has Serial Number 206 on it, but I was not really big on Spyderco. But I picked it up and it was like magic. Granted I have maybe 50 knives and nothing major league as I am a newbie, but the Wegner was like magic. I have never felt a more comfortable knife. then I figured I would trade it, But My Son reminded me how much i ranted and raved about it, how I baby the hell out of it and how could I ever think of trading what is clearly the finest knife I have ever owned yet. Boy am I hooked on Spyderco now.....wolf:)

Brian, I looked at your pics. What a magnificant collection. I am in awe. There is where I hope to be in another 40 years if I live that long. Boy dand to think I wasted 24 good years of my life collecting guns. What a fool I am. Now I eat, sleep and dream knives and just lurk on the BF and LEARN from folks like you. Thank you brian for the opportunity to see some REAL knives....wolf:D

Shootist has beat me again to brag about the WEGNER. I love the Wegner!!!!!!

I count myself in that fraternity, and I credit Dennis with my decision to buy one. I'm having increasing trouble getting the Wegner out of my pocket to rotate it with my one other "regular" EDC, even tho the other knife is, IMO, a better self defense knife, and that is the designated purpose of the knife for me. I have the Native -- which I also love -- for my utility blade. But, that Wegner just keeps growing on you!

Bugs, I figured, as I started to collect, I would stay with just autos. And then narrowed it to more "tactical" type autos to boot. Then I hold a Wegner, one of the first folders in my small collection and man what a knife. I can open it as fast as an auto, it justs has this cris snap, and seems Tim Wegner made it just for MY hand as it fit so well. I am waiting for his new knife but I would sure love to hold a Native...Thanks again for giving me a chance to learn how to be a better and smarter knife knut!!!! Wolf:)

Thank you shootist. I am going to end up with my wife throwing me out in the garage if I keep drooling over Spyderco and all the wonderful photos of all you Master knife knuts!!!!! I really appreciate you guys taking the time to teach a NEWBIE this wonderful art. I collected guns for 24 years, but I can say now that they never did to me what just one knife has done. I have sold every common gun I own to buy knives. Now I just have to learn so I can stop buying junk!!!!!
thanks again....wolf:D :D :D
