What is the weight of the Howling Rat and the Camp Tramp? Is there an “extreme” version of the HR in the oven? What exactly differentiates the “extreme” line from the regular line? Thanks in advance.
 
The weight of the Howling Rat is approx 7 oz, the weight of the Camp Tramp is approx 14 oz.

We do not use the "extreme" name as all of our knives are of an extreme nature, especially in performance. We do have a SRT line coming out which is our new Swamp Rat Tactical line. We have not officially released any info on this line yet. However stay tuned as it won't be much longer ;):D:D

It's really nice that you answer so fast when people have qustions! but I'm a stupid dane the don't know the lbl scale!!! we use kg. and g. so my qustion is how many g. is a oz.??

If I remember correctly from my days in Germany 28g=1oz.

that is coooool! I've been waiting for something new from swamprat for a long time! (eventhough I just got the bog dog...) I can't wait to see the new swamprat line of knives!
 
First, for Eric... PLEASE make sure you designate which models are going to be part of the permanent line and which are "Blade Show Only" specials when you show photos of them here... I don't want to be drooling over a knife that I won't be able to buy except on the used (and expensive since it's rare) market.

For everyone, if you didn't know, Google can do unit conversions. For example, go to the normal google window (or use the toolbar if you are super cool like me) and type "7 oz in g" (without the quotes). You'll get.. "7 ounces = 198.446662 grams" It can do all sorts of weird measurements, so if you wanted to know how far it is to the nearest star in fathoms, no problem.





PS. 4.3 light years = 2.22442433 × 10^16 fathoms :D
