What is the weight that you find effective on your Hawks? I guess it would depend on the use- light chopping, tactical entry.
I read a post by Vec that listed one ounce per inch of haft length- that number sounds good to me also.
Here is a head I finished - that I had initally put aside as too light at 16.5 oz. After seeing Butch's rr spike hawk - I gave it another chance. Even tried out a rasp burn on a old haft like Butch did.
I parked it, had to wait until I fed the dog to use his dish lol. Still have to fit a haft and make a sheath. Seems ok, feels fast - have to test some .
Made from 1" 4140 bar.
