Hello
I have 2 identical large plain regular sebenzas. I know for sure that the one is made from S30v steel. I am not sure about the other one. The S30v weighs 133g. The other one weighs 136g. Would this indicate that the heavier one is BG42 steel? would someone who has two identical Sebenzas with different knife steels weigh them to see if there is a difference please?
Thanks
Todd

I have noticed that the early "Regular" blades had a little more pronounced "hump" on the blade spines than later models, but I don't know if it's 3 grams worth of metal. I can't imagine that the density of the metal would make much difference between BG42 and S30V. Other small design changes over time, however, could make up that difference pretty easily. I'll look for a comparison picture of the blades later.

One the one you don't know what the steel is, take it apart, see if the blade has a stamp on it. No stamp will mean either BG42 or ATS34, there's a sticky with the time lines for the steels.
