Hi everyone !

What is the difference in weight between two Sebenza 21 with inlays and without inlays ?

Which one is weight more?

Thanks!

I don't know exactly but my best guess is very, very little, maybe a couple of grams one way or the other. One has the Titanium milled out but adds on the inlay, the other isn't milled out but has no inlays, six of one I am sure.

From my slight research, it says a plain jane large 21 is around 4.7oz, where as a micarta inlaid large 21 is 4.5oz

The lg. are about the same, with the micarta inlay being slightly less as stated above. If your goal is to cut weight go with the carbon fiber scale .

Thank you for replay! I'm toward to which one is more weight, looks like 21 without inlays.
Again,thank you so much!

I'd go for the one suits your needs best. They feel different in hand and you're not going to feel the weight difference between the two. If you want thin in the pocket go for no inlay. If you want something that fills the hand slightly more then go for the inlays.

Along with this good advice. The Micarta inlay will give you added grip(don't think wood inlays do anything for grip).

I just don't like the idea they milled out ti. handles. Its my first Sebenza and really hard to make decision.
The idea to put something on ti slab using double tape (I understand its very strong) means/sound something cheap for me.

If you like the plain Ti scale , then that is what you should get, but there is nothing cheap about the inlay. On the inlay, both the milled out scale and inlay are made to very tight tolerances and the tape they use is supper strong. Inlays do not fall out.

Lateral forces are easier to move the inlay as well as it's much easier to get dirt and oils between the inlay and the host to weaken the bond.
That is one reason why there is a pocket in the Ti as well as functional location of the inlays is more consistent.

VHB is great stuff..I do use it at work occasionally.
