Weight Updates on Various Models

I weighed a few of the models I own with a good digital scale.

Weight in Ounces:

NMFBM - 28.9 (Hand Shaped Micarta mags)
CGFBM - 28.4 (G10 Mags)
FFBM - 33.1 (G10 Mags)
BWM - 22.4
Boss Street - 8.7
Tank Buster - 16.5 (G10 Mags/DC)
Tank Buster - 17.4 (Mic Mags/ Sage)

That's something the CGFBM with mags almost weighs as much as the NMFBM who would have thought. Thanks Ank, :thumbup:
 
Hey Shankerson... If you can, try weighing 2 of the same knives... one with G10 and one with micarta. They G10 is obviously heavier, but I wonder how much.

I did that with the TB, the only one that I have both G10 and micarta slabs.
 
^^^^^^^^^^seems like more than that sometimes, especially in the shorter blade knives.

I'm trying to resist the BWM, but I know that just as soon as AMY 0 calls last call I'll rush to the bar to order one. Seems to be a habit of mine...

Thank you very much Ankerson! I'm trying to decide between a CGNMFBM or BWMLE. I would have thought there was more than a 4.5 oz difference between the two.
 
Wow. I just can't believe that. It must be just balance. The NMFBM just never felt right in my hands. Yet only an ounce separates it from the CGFBM.

The TB thing has me scratching my head, too. G10 is supposed to be HEAVIER than Micarta. Does sage coating weigh that much??? Or is the DC that much more thinnerer b/c of finish-prep?

The DC TB is 3/16" thick while the Sage is 1/4" thick.
