Just thought I'd drop in to share a few photos of my CQC-11 Reese Weiland done for me and extend a hello. It's a framelock conversion with a single piece carbon fiber liner, spacer, and bolster with a slab of green canvas micarta inset. Enjoy!!

Thanks, I thought that he had done an outstanding job with what I had ask him to do! I really like the single piece of carbon fiber. The only think is I wish I'd have had him stipple it or something to give a little better grip.

Man, the more of Reese's work I see, the more excited I become about my own knife.

Nice CQC-11. That's a keeper for sure.

Here's a proto RW made for nate3993 based on the Horseman, but wider. Blade is CPM3V @ 63 Rockwell. Kinda reminds me of yours, what with the integral CF work and all.

I traded Nathan an IKBS (marked) DDR tanto gunhammer to get this one... Now it's my church knife.

That's a real nice looking knife. :)

The integral scale and spacer is the way forward for sure, I'll never do another 2 piece scale and spacer in CF again.

That's a good looking piece for sure! I'll have to say that his work is VERY good! The fit and finish of his work is well and beyond anything I've seen near the price he charges!

Good lord, this thing is beautiful too.

Thanks for the comments, other than the slick overall feel of the knife it's "perfect"!! Well it was then, now it's been opened and closed too much with the Wave feature and needs a larger stop pin.

Here is a more recent shot. The Micarta has darked up a little and I received a killer regrind from Nick Rossi!!

Thanks, it really takes an outstanding edge now!! For some reason I never could be the knack for sharpening Emerson's but this one I can do, lol!!

Just curious... How long was the wait time on this and was this your first Reese order?

The projected wait time was 2 months. The actual wait time was 1 year and 2 months! The work did turn out quiet nice though!! Yes this was my first order with Reese.

Yup... I figured... He's always late but worth the wait. I've got some stuff waiting to be modded that has been sitting in his shop for over 2 years!
