It has been 1.5 months since I have sent Mr. Reese Weiland my Emerson Snubby and now its finally ready to be shipped! :D

I didn't ask for anything complicated or fancy since this was gonna be my edc. I just wanted a nice simple titanium framelock coversion, a green g10 (black was too plain), and a hollow grind for the blade. And oh, yeah. No bolsters. I think too many emerson customs have bolsters and makes the knife look to complicated in my opinion.

During the whole upgrading though, Mister Weiland did just that and much much more.

He also rounded the handle (like a CC version of the Strider folders) for better ergonomics, replaced the washers, stonewashed the ti -side and the blade, added a swedge to the blade and drop the point down a bit, did something with the lock (don't remember at the moment but it has to do with detent), stonewashed the clip, and improved the jimping.

What do you guys think??

I can't wait to hold the knife and see how it cuts.

I think this will be the perfect edc knife with its perfect (for me) handle to blade ratio.

If you are reading this, thanks Mister Weiland!!

And to you guys, thanks for looking!

Very nice indeed, the long swedge looks real good on that blade.:thumbup:

very nice conversion. the only thing I'd change is to move to put a deep carry clip.

Google his name and find his website.

On their should be contact info.

Call first though.

He's too busy to check emails as often as he likes.

i LOVE the 14, and that is def one of the coolest ive ever seen! beautiful blade man:thumbup:

Beauty! Reese is top shelf all the way! I knew it'd be great before I opened the thread. Pretty sure I know what he did to change the detent. Ernie has it riding the edge of the blade as it rolls open. On some models this causes the blade to 'sing' to you as you open it up. Reese probably bumped that over some giving it a new path and a hole to fall into in the blade so it holds the blade down when closed now, and it appears he tweaked the lock for a little better contact foot print at the same time from the looks of it. Nice job for sure. Like I said, top the line. Love the touch with the swedge too.

Reese is probably the best aftermarket guy in the world on Emersons. His knives' fit and finish are superb, and the little things, like a thin clean cut for the framelock bar, are unparalleled. He is also capable of making any knife you care to design, from scratch, especially his trademark hawks.

I've got a mint Super C I'll trade ya! That is schweet man. Very understated but again purposeful. keepem sharp

That's fantastic, Jason. Great looking knife - I love how the added swedge really gives the knife that sexy, lethal profile. And the frame lock looks solid as a tank. You're a lucky man.

I hope to get in line for a Weiland modification soon!
