Weird AD15

I just got a weird Cold Steel AD 15 that has an s35vn black blade,carbon fiber scales and the scorpion lockbar is silver steel (I think) that shows 3 pins like the Demko ones. The edge has a tiny ding from maybe hitting the lockbar when closing. The blade markings look proper and overall has a very nice feel in the hand. It has a really smooth action. I'd hate to think it was a fake. Fellow I got it from said he was told it was a special run for a retailer. I haven't found anything online that matches it . Only ones that come close with the 3 pin lockbar are the Demko ones and ones on DH Gate. Maybe it's a Frankenstein job put together with parts from other AD 15 s? Trying to figure this out is driving me nuts

I will admit I don't keep up with CS as much as I used to, especially since the GSM buyout, but I've never seen one of their AD15s with the 3-pin style lockbar. And there have been a lot of AD10 and 15 fakes ever since they came out. I might believe a special run with different scales and/or blade steel, but a different lockbar? That just screams fake to me. Also, on mine, the blade is not even close to hitting the lockbar anywhere, so if that's what happened, would be another red flag.

Yeah that's what I feared..another damn fake. What really stings is that I got it from a longtime friend and we both should have known better. All the local knife traders I know have been fooled a time or two or three or four myself included. Fakes of any brand have caused so much trouble and bad feelings. Thanks for the replies.
