Can someone explain this ? Within the last week there have been some strange changes on my computer.It's the introduction of a tan color on some things. For example the line on top of the screen where you put the web address now has a tan color instead of a pale blue. My desktop photo is a rally car against the blue sky. I watched this morning as it came up - blue sky which immediately changed to pale tan ! Some websites seem to be effected , some not. Not a problem but why the change ?
 
the problem can be related to many factors, so please give more info, as what operating system you have..., if its a desktop or a laptop...
the problem you have could be from the graphics driver, the desktop color settings, based on the operating system settings, the graphics card itself, or the monitor
i would try to reset the desktop color scheme, reinstall the graphics driver, and check the connection of the monitor with the graphics adapter if we are talking about a desktop , and not a laptop

I'm going to guess you're running some form of Windows and you've reset your preferences without meaning to. Sometimes computers seem to reset themselves for no apparent reason.... Go to your desktop, place your mouse cursor nowhere in particular, and right-click. Choose "properties." Try changing things and click the "Apply" button to see what it looks like. If you don't like the looks of it, change it to something else....
 
New ASUS laptop, Vista home premium.
I just disconnected everything and when I booted up the picture again went from blue to pale tan !
I'll check Cougar's suggestions.

Are you the only one with access? Got to eliminate the obvious first...
 
Only me, computer illiterate ! I did come across a page where you could adjust various colors. That made some changes but not to the desktop and then I couldn't get back to that page again !
 
That's what I did in the first place but now I only get Appearance not Color !Where did the Color go ?
On my computer my avatar ,Dangermouse, should have a clean white suit but now he needs to have his suit cleaned !
 
Is anything white at all? If your monitor can't display white any more you might need a new monitor.

You are giving us very little information. All we can do is guess (or ignore you) unless you tell us in detail exactly what's happening.
 
It's a laptop , not a pc.

IMO your screen may not be operating correctly.

Take it back for warranty replacement/repair.

Yes there's white, such as the white background of this page.Maybe I can restore to a week or two ago ? I'm also supposed to get Windows 7 this month , should I just wait for that ?
 
Your mouse is a bit dirty on this end, maybe need an updated pic of him.

I see your problem. You use Windows.
 
Weird computer !!! I tried restore and twice got the message that it didn't work yet now Dangermouse has a clean suit and my desktop photo has the proper blue sky !!! The tan colors are gone ! I hope it stays this way.
No, now it's back again.

Just did the Windows upgrade ,that seems to have cured it ! What can you say about a system that has weekly upgrades !
