Weird double chisel idea

Here is another idea from my warped mind. I am wondering if this is possible: have a drop point blade, chisel ground on both sides, forming a double edge blade of drop-point on one side and wharncliff on the other. for clarifacation, imagine if the knives in the picture were a single knife, the picture showing both sides. http://www.ckg.org/Weyer%20Shots/19447.jpg .

I’ve played with this a bit and it does work but you have to be creative in grinding the point and warping during heattreat can be a problem. But it looks interesting when done.
The warp won’t be to the side but in a corkscrew shape.
It can be done it’s just a real pain in that blade style.

Did you use the blade? My one worrs would be about lateral strength, there are only the two ridges, the rest of the knife would be pretty thin, right?

Gentlemen: I too have tried this idea, and, as others have stated, it all gets messy at the point. Of course, if you double grind the Wharncliff, it's fine

You're saying a double ground wharncliff backed with a chisel ground drop-point. Sounds interesting. What about that arrangement makes the point easier wo grind?
