not sure i would ever use this method for caching rabbits,he sure have some nerves :)

Save some calories, just eat the 4 snakes you've already caught! Besides, at least they have some beneficial fats!

Holy crap this dude is a animal!!

Check out the video where he catches a buck! Then one when he catches a hawk!

Badazz. Ok, so where is the guy he needs to be paired up with? COOOODDDEEEEE!!!!!

Makes me pretty nervous to watch. Can't imagine taking a hit in the important bits from those snakes!

That was highly entertaining :)
Since he waited for a while, I wonder if he could have gotten the same result without the snakes.
I guess he could have smoked the rabbits out, too.

Wow this was AWESOME!! thanks for sharing
He reminded me of the crocodile hunter

WTF? Seriously, W. . .T. . .F!?!!

You put time, effort and energy in something that may actually KILL you instead putting in effort to catching sustenance? Is it "Bear Grylls Down Under" version?

I have a hard time picking up a garter snake! Seriously though,I wondered the same thing as to wether the snakes had any effect on the rabbit coming out and why not just eat the snakes?

Fun to watch and nerve racking at the same time.

We all know how the Croc Hunter ended up.RIP

HA!! "The rabbit was released safely and unharmed."...................to a house full of venomous snakes.

Reminds me a bit of:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvbQKSaYQD8

From Wikipedia, the best source of knowledge in the universe, regarding the Red Bellied Black Snake: Though its venom is capable of causing significant morbidity, a bite from it is not generally fatal and less venomous than other deadly Australian snakes.

The Tiger doesn't seem so "safe:" Tiger snake venoms possess potent neurotoxins, coagulants, haemolysins and myotoxins. Symptoms of a bite include localized pain in the foot and neck region, tingling, numbness, and sweating, followed by a fairly rapid onset of breathing difficulties and paralysis. In a study, the untreated mortality rate from its bites is reported to be between 40 and 60%

While entertaining...adding that sort of risk to an already dire situation, in a remote area, seems counterproductive.

It is entertaining though. I love snakes and spent some time catching them, 99% were non vemomous though. Some good clean fun without the risk. "Tailing" agile snakes is NOT recommended.

I'm definitely going to use this technique next time I find myself stranded in the woods with nothing but 4 venomous snakes and a dozen nets. :D

If it is the video I am thinking of it wasn't about hunting to eat, it was a way to catch rabbits because of the overpopulation of rabbits in Australia.
