Ok i'm not officially a Beckerhead even though i own 5 Beckers (3 Camillus and 2 Ka-bar) but i just had a weird idea. A lot of people love the mini-pry bars for B.O.Bs so why not make a scaled down BK3? Say BK16 sized or heck why not a neck knife sized (BK11 or BK14) version? Does the idea have merit or have i just had too much caffeine today? lol!

I would probably buy one if the had it in a Tweener (or even a little smaller) size. Would be great as an emergency response tool. The current BK3 is just too much to truck around with all the other stuff.

I thought that somebody cooked up a little mini three pistol bayonet or something crazy a while ago could be mistaken, but yea like an edc'able breaching tool would be awesome for the backpack

That was TM Hunt. I think he swapped a knock-off mini in that style into a Kabar Pistol Bayonet. Completely a joke.

Lol pistol bayonets are hilarious, but a functional tweener sized 3 would be pretty useful

I might be interested in a necker sized BK3 or some type of squared-off end instead of a more common point. I have a CRKT ringed razel that I carry occasionally and I know they also make a chisel-ground mini-rescue tool. I think they would do good, but I would prefer it without serrations.

Yeah just scale it down to Tweener size but still keep the thickness. It would be a tank! Or even smaller, can you imagine a neck knife sized BK3 1/4 inch thick?! The question would be whether to lose or keep the rope cutter part on the top of the blade.

You could probably turn an Eod breacher bar into what you guys are talking about. The ht on those isnt as hard as a real knife but then again that means you can pry without the worry of snapping. I have one laying around maybe that will become a little project some afternoon,

CRKT makes a tool similar to what the OP is talking about. The M.A.K.-1

the razel is about the same but smaller

They're not the same. I have a ringed razel and my buddy got a M.A.K.-1. The M.A.K.-1 is chisel ground and pretty close to what the OP described, or what a scaled down BK3 would be without serrations or the belt cutter notch. The Razel is a hollow ground with a squared off blade rather than a traditional point. You could maybe pry with it some but it's more of an EDC fixed blade knife where as the MAK-1 is a small pry/breaching tool.

Yeah, it's really more of a scrapper than a chisel. They are neat little knives though. I carry my ringed razel and a leatherman new wave a lot.

Ethan has a tweener tac-tool in his shop I held it today. He said Ka-Bar didn't plan to make it.
