I think the overall looks of the knife are outstanding. 440 generally means 440A which is not the best steel available. I'm not sure where the magnets come into play, unless it's like the Spyderco T-Mag where a magnet holds the knife open.

Yeah, the aesthetics are pretty good, but for $9 how much can you expect in the way of materials?

Yep, sounds like a "T-Mag" mechanism.
Somebody buy one and review/compare them.:)
I notice it doesn't have the choil for your finger to keep it open. (!)
Hope it doesn't close/fold as easily as the T-Mag apparently does.

Carlson makes several high $$ magnetic knives, so maybe he's got this feature more perfected... ??

I just bought 2 each because the shipping was more than the knife by a little bit  $9.33 . . .

Anyway, I'll also let a friend of mine have one for his input too.

Stay tuned for the review once it arrives.

The only 440 they mantion as used on their web page is 440C but their cheapest knife, the magnetic assist Slip Joints are still $400 and up.

I wonder if these knives are fakes?

We'll see soon enough I suppose ;)
