Weird question, buddy will be in Bahrain

Anyone with first hand knowledge of Bahrain, my buddy will be there, and I want a blade unique to the region as a souvenir. What should I have him look for and where?

You do realize Bahrain is basically an island, and not very big? That being said, if he can get out and about, he can probably find something at the souk in Manama.

Even if he finds something, the airport is a no knife zone (even stored in luggage) & UPS has stopped accepting knives for shipment from Bahrain. This leaves just snail mail & it's not clear how the government would look at an American shipping a knife. My sense is this is something that could go sideways leaving your friend in trouble for what is unlikely to a great knife.

Bahrain is the Vegas of the middle east. I spent quite a bit of time there. Probably better off asking for a gold chain from the souks. Or a Russian hooker from the Marriott

If he is on NSA Bahrain, definitely hit up the schwarma dude, I remember when he had a cart in front of the base, outside the gate.

Good to know he is actually military so no messing around
