Weird SP-8 sawback

Has anyone seen this type of sawback on an Ontario SP-8...can't find it online anywhere, and it's really beginning to bother me. Thanks for any help.

Fear not. That was the saw pattern on the original SP-8s back in the early 1990s.

Appreciate the info...any idea why they went from that to the newer saw? Seems to work pretty well, even if the cut is on the push and not the draw (got to make sure of my grip, as I convexed the lower blade edge and it's sharp as hell).

I did the original design in 1992-93. I left in 1997. It happened after I left. We can all speculate but since the people who changed it are mostly gone, we may never know.
